Santa Who?

My niece, who is three years old is a total hoot. First of all she is tiny...she is closer to age four than age three, and barely wears a size 2T. (Meanwhile, my two year old is straining the seams of his 4T shirts and 3T pants!) Anyway, we were watching the Food Network last night, and they were doing a show about Disney World. She tells "Papa" (my step-dad) that she wants him to take her to Disney. "I want to go to Disney for Chrisam, " she states. (Chrisam is her word for Christmas). Thinking he knows a little something about how kids' minds work, he replies, "If we go to Disney World for Christmas, you'll miss Santa Claus." First of all, she's not like most kids. Second, she is terrified of St. Nick. He's okay on television, he can leave her presents, but she's not going to have any conversations or photo-ops with him. Girlfriend did not miss a beat, "I don't want to see the real Santa Claus...I want to see Mickey Mouse!"

Merry Chrisam everybody!

That's funny.
Wait, she'll never want to leave Santa once it all clicks...However, the moment is fleeting because soon after, she'll think he's a hoax. I, on the other hand...still believe in santa.

Too cute. Kids at that age say the most precious things.
